Driving south along the coastal road from Gaios leads to lagoon-like Mogonissi Bay which offers a fine sandy beach, watersports such as windsurfing and canoeing as well as a taverna right on the beach serving drinks and good food. In contrast the southern coastline features rocky cliffs, high seas and panoramic views of Anti-Paxos to the south.
A short walk along the East coast leads to one of the many pebble coves with excellent swimming, while Mogonissi's sandy beach is just a few minutes walk further south. The tavernas, shops and amenities of Gaios Town are less than 3 km (5 minutes) by car from the house.
This truly is the perfect location for those who prefer the option of a sandy beach, the tranquillity of a private location and the convenience of shops, tavernas and bars within a short drive.
