Situated between the tiny harbour of Pessada and Lourdas is the fertile valley of Trapezaki which is home to some of the best beaches on Kefalonia.
Below the chapel of the Madonna and its pine trees there is a tiny fishing port with a taverna and a long sandy beach. The beach is natural and quiet with a few sunloungers and umbrellas so you are bound to find a quiet corner. The gently shelving beach is ideal for children and the sea is crystal clear.
This tranquil area is situated only twenty five kilometres south of the cosmopolitan island capital of Argostoli and is a perfect base for exploring this stunning Ionian Island.
