The charming Armoloi Cottages are set in the peaceful countryside, yet only minutes from the picturesque town and busy harbour front of Skopelos Town. Rented either separately for a romantic get-away, or for larger parties or family reunions, they offer a traditional atmosphere in an accommodation which provides all the modern conveniences. The cottages are appealingly traditional, but the addition of the private swimming pool is a contemporary luxury that add the perfect touch to Armoloi cottages.
Armoloi Blue is a delightful little cottage, again with open wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta tiles on the floor. The entry is into a living room with fireplace and includes a divan with smartly covered cushions in a pretty blue and white fabric. The front wall has windows facing to the pool area, providing a light and airy space. The back wall of the sitting room is open on top to the beamed ceiling and has screen windows providing light, but privacy, to the cosy airconditioned double bedroom behind. A w/c shower room is situated next to the bedroom. The charming little kitchen is very well equipped and is open plan to the living room.
Attractively painted in mellow shades of apricot and ochre, the little cottages stand amidst ancient olive trees which provide many shaded corners for reading or relaxing in the extensive grounds. Armoloi Blue has a front facing terrace looking toward the pool and olive trees in the distance and a small back terrace for more privacy. The pool area is spacious and private with views out to the surrounding nature and hilltops beyond.
Armoloi Cottages are romantic, which make them perfect for honeymooners or couples wanting the peace and quiet of a quaint country cottage.
It is also possible to let the cottages together for larger families and parties, giving the convenience of having one accommodation in two separate cottages with the added bonus of being able to spend the days together around the shared swimming pool.
Please note: cots, high chairs and extra beds can also be arranged on request.
The cottages are approximately 300m off the main road and a mere 1.5 km from Skopelos town, with its lovely waterfront and array of shops, restaurants and cafes. In the opposite direction, the beautiful beaches of Stafilos and Velanio are only 3 km away from home. Armoloi is also perfect for walkers and is actually located on an old unmade road that crosses the island.
The walk to town is approximately 20 minutes and only approximately 40 minutes to the beautiful beaches of Stafilos and Velanio on a pretty road that passes tiny churches, springs and offers plenty of shade in the form of hundreds of olive groves.
The fact that there is no airport on Skopelos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.
To get to Skopelos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes approx. 1 hour to reach Skopelos.
You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Skopelos.
Skopelos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.
