In our opinion this is the best hotel to choose if you want to be based in Skiathos Town...
We truly feel that the charming Hotel Orsa is the best hotel in Skiathos Town. This is not just because it is an elegant small hotel with beautiful rooms and gardens, it is also because it's fantastic location in a quiet part of the town but just a couple of minutes walk from the harbour waterfront cannot be beaten.
The Hotel is located at the end of the new harbour with fabulous sea views out across several small islands towards Skopelos. It is positioned on a quiet pedestrian street so is both peaceful and secluded, yet it is only a 3 minute walk from the harbour and its extensive range of shops, tavernas and bars.
The hotel itself has only 12 rooms set out on 3 levels, most of the rooms are sea facing and have balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens. The rooms are air conditioned and well furnished and have modern marble bathrooms with showers.
The gardens are heavily planted with bougainvillea and hibiscus and is the perfect spot for a quiet al fresco breakfast. For the stronger swimmers amongst you there are some steep steps that lead down from the gardens to some rocks where you can go swimming, the nearest beach is a fifteen minute walk away.

Skiathos Town, Skiathos
Skiathos Town has several faces to show you, by day a sleepy little harbour which fits in with the more traditional perceptions of a Greek island, by night it comes alive with a much more cosmopolitan feel with a real range of options to suit all types.
The waterfront and picturesque alleyways are busy with locals and visitors wandering through the maze of chic boutiques and tempting antique shops before whiling away the evening in one of the many excellent tavernas or restaurants.
The lovely Vasillias beach is just 3 kilometres outside the town which is long and sandy and remains quiet out of high season. There are plenty of facilities here to keep you interested including tavernas, beach bars and a water sports school, and for those who prefer to worship the sun there are umbrellas and sun beds available.
How To Get There
There are direct flights to Skiathos from the following UK airports: Birmingham, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. Daily flights are available from Athens Airport to Skiathos.
