Property details

A stylish two bedroom villa, which is great for families and popular with couples too!

With excellent sea views, this beautifully designed and furnished villa provides guests with modern, stylish accommodation in sought-after Trapezaki.

The small village of Trapezaki lies between the harbour at Pessada and the village of Lourdas on the southern shores of Kefalonia. This coastline boasts some of the island's best sandy beaches and we recommend booking a hire car with your villa to explore the area.

Set just above Trapezaki beach, Villa Petalida is a smart villa providing cool, airy accommodation which makes the most of its peaceful setting. The ground floor living space is open plan with lofty timber ceilings and a modern kitchen area with pretty breakfast table and chairs. There is room to relax too, with two recliners and a comfy sofa through a stone archway.

Sliding glass doors give access from the living area onto the pool terrace which runs the full length of the villa. Here you can enjoy an al fresco lunch of Greek salad with locally-produced olive oil or stretch out on a sun lounger and laze by the pool.

The first of Villa Petalida's two bedrooms is the ground floor double complete with ensuite shower and w.c. The room has sliding glass doors which open directly onto the pool terrace. From the lounge, stone steps lead up to a large mezzanine twin bedroom suitable for children or adults and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and w.c.

Whether as a romantic week for two or a family holiday for up to four, Villa Petalida has earned consistently good feedback from customers and staff alike!

Location

Trapezaki, Kefalonia

Situated between the tiny harbour of Pessada and Lourdas at the foot of Mount Ainos is the fertile valley of Trapezaki. This small village offers all the essentials including a bakery and two tavernas as well as a shop - all within walking distance of Villa Petalida.

Below the chapel of the Madonna and its pine trees there is a tiny fishing port with a taverna and a long sandy beach. The beach is natural and quiet with a few sun loungers and umbrellas so you are bound to find a quiet corner. The gently shelving beach is ideal for children and the sea is crystal clear.

This tranquil area is situated only 25 kilometres south of the cosmopolitan island capital of Argostoli and is a perfect base for exploring this stunning Ionian Island.

Why Holiday in Kefalonia?

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands, but among the least commercialised. The coastline offers mile after mile of sandy beaches and unspoilt rural areas that are waiting to be explored.

The weather on the island of Kefalonia consists of rainy winters and dry, hot summers. With higher winter rainfall, Kefalonia boasts verdant plains, forests and hillsides dotted with grazing mountain goats.

Great food is certainly a feature of Kefalonia. Feta cheeses from goats and ewes milk, olives and fresh fish from the ports at Sami, Poros, Argostoli and Fiskardo are among the islands’ specialities served at excellent tavernas across Kefalonia. Our full listing of
