Villa Apollo offers guests a peaceful retreat but is close to several villages such as Maganos with its shingle beach, tavernas, shops and bars which is pretty much within walking distance (2 km). Within a very short drive are the pretty harbour of Fiskardo - a favourite with the yachting crowd - with its waterfront tavernas and other facilities.

Villa Apollo's most spectacular feature has to be the infinity pool and the stunning sea views. The spacious pool terrace is furnished with sunbeds and umbrellas and also has a covered veranda. The villa is fully equipped with everything you need for a family holiday with a cot, washing machine, iron & board, TV, CD/DVD player and hairdryer provided.

Inside the villa, the design really gives a feeling of light and space, and combines both modern and traditional elements. On the ground floor, there is a spacious living room with a large fireplace, comfortable sofa and easy chairs, and there is a separate dining area seating six. The modern kitchen comes with all mod cons...

Both the living room and dining area have French doors that lead directly onto the pool terrace, as does the twin bedroom on the ground floor, which is ensuite. On the first floor there are two further bedrooms, one double and one twin, both comfortably furnished with direct access out onto the terrace. The villa has three more bathrooms, all with showers and WCs.

Please note that barbecues are prohibited due to the countryside location and related fire regulations. Children must be supervised when using the infinity pool at all times.

Location

Fiskardo, Kefalonia

Bazukata is beautifully secluded. Full of traditional island houses, it offers intimacy and an unhurried way of life: the ideal place to relax and unwind. Take as much time as you like over a good lunch or picnic in the woods, or take an evening stroll under crystal clear skies.

If you're looking for some livelier activities, try the lovely fishing harbour of Fiskardo. The waterfront is home to serveral good tavernas as well as cafe-bars and craft shops. Venetian architechure is still prominent and a small museum at the top of the harbour displays pictures charting its history. Daily ferries from Fiskardo run to the port of Frikes in Ithaca and to Vassiliki in Lefkas, but why not hire a boat to explore the various coves and lagoons?

Why Holiday in Kefalonia?

Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands, but among the least commercialised. The coastline offers mile after mile of sandy beaches and unspoilt rural areas that are waiting to be explored.

The weather on the island of Kefalonia consists of rainy winters and dry, hot summers. With higher winter rainfall, Kefalonia boasts verdant plains, forests and hillsides dotted with grazing mountain goats.

Great food is certainly a feature of Kefalonia. Feta cheeses from goats and ewes milk, olives and fresh fish from the ports at Sami, Poros, Argostoli and Fiskardo are among the islands’ specialities served at excellent tavernas across Kefalonia. Our full listing of

Fiskardo is one of the most sought after spots on Kefalonia. The pretty harbour has retained a truly authentic greek atmosphere.
The traditional fishing boats that supply the harborside tavernas contrast with the swanky yachts that cruise around the islands!
