Property details

This great value two-bedroom villa with private pool is conveniently positioned within Kalami village in picturesque North-East Corfu

Villa Lemonia nestles amongst a garden of olive and citrus trees in the heart of the lovely village of Kalami Bay. Everything you need for a perfect holiday is just a stroll away, the delightful white shingle beach and a choice of tavernas and shops are all close-by.

Sister villa to Jasmin, two-bedroom Villa Lemonia is the perfect option for smaller families and a great new addition to our Corfu collection. We especially like the sunny, furnished patio to the front which is ideal for al-fresco meals and which leads to a sparkling pool complete with loungers and umbrellas.

Inside the villa is simply, but comfortably furnished. There is a well-equipped kitchen and dining/ living area comfortably furnished for four people. The main bedroom has a double bed with a further bedroom with two single beds. These share a bath room with shower.

This simple, great value holiday villa is a firm favourite among previous guests and it is sure to be a popular addition for returning SunIsle customers. Early booking is recommended, although previous guests will know that Villa Jasmin makes a good alternative if your preferred weeks at Villa Lemonia are already taken.

Location

Kalami Bay, Corfu

Beautiful Kalami Bay is renowned as the place where Lawrence Durrell wrote 'Prospero's Cell' in the 1930's. The book brought Corfu to the attention of the English and so began their love affair with the island and their friendship with its people.

Yet, despite its fame, this delightful village retains a traditional and peaceful atmosphere and is geared very much towards anyone hoping for a quieter, family holiday.

Why Holiday in Corfu?

Corfu is one of the more popular Greek holiday islands and is well served by charter and budget airlines. This beautiful, lush green Greek island comes as an unexpected and unforgettable surprise for first time visitors. Avoiding the busier south, SunIsle offer hand-picked properties among the picture postcard fishing harbours of the north-east and sandy bays on the west coast.

Of particular note is Kalami, a small and "un-touristy" resort with plenty of tavernas, small shops and charm. Slightly further up the coast is the swish bay of Agios Stephanos, where boats pull up to the sea-front tavernas and you can swim from the beaches into the sheltered waters.

How To Get There

Flights to Corfu are available from the following UK airports:

Belfast, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster, East Midlands, Exeter, Gatwick, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Stansted, Teeside.

The majority of flights depart on Mondays and Fridays. Daily flights to Corfu are available from Athens Airport.

SunIsle Holidays offer a full travel service including flights, car hire and private taxi transfers as well as apartments, hotels and villas on an accommodation-only basis.

Customer Reviews

Feedback on Villa Lemonia ...

Villa Lemonia's location off the main road was lovely and quiet, yet very close to the beach and all other amenities. It was well maintained, with a friendly cleaner. (September 2009)
I would thoroughly recommend this villa. It was a perfect combination of seclusion and convenience. We were surrounded by olive, lemon and orange trees with a lovely view - and yet it was in the heart of the village and extremely close to the shops. The accommodation was basic but suited our needs perfectly. The swimming pool was very nice and bigger than it looks in the picture on the website. (August 2009)
Villa Lemonia was a relaxing place to stay that suited both adults and teenage children alike. We wish we could have stayed longer. (August 2009)
Villa Lemonia was just the sort of thing we were looking for - ideal. (July 2009)
We've already booked 4 weeks in Villa Lemonia for next year - I think that it says all. (June 2009)
Villa Lemonia was set in a wonderful garden location amongst a citrus grove. It was close to all amenities but I would say the villa itself would not really be suitable for families with small children. (May 2009)

Kalami Bay, Corfu ...

Kalami is a small and friendly village with a short transfer time from the airport. A fantastic location right by the sea. (September 2009)
Kalami Bay had a lovely pebbly beach with clear water. It was a quiet, non-commercial village. (August 2009)
Kalami Bay is a quiet and friendly village and our villa was located within easy access of all its facilities and the beach. It was exactly what we wanted - the tavernas were excellent and very good value. The yachts mooring in the bay most evenings made you feel that this was an upmarket resort. (August 2009)
Kalami Bay was quiet and pretty but with good facilities and amenities. (July 2009)
What did we like most about the location? Amongst other things - the beautiful scenery, peace and quiet, clean beach, good restaurants and pleasant staff. (July 2009)
The location was very close to some great tavernas and the supermarket. (June 2009)
Kalami Bay is a lovely, quiet spot. It's very 'Greek' and we enjoyed good food there. It was also great to have access to boats for hire. (May 2009)

Customer Service

We were very pleased with the SunIsle service and our accommodation. Your staff were all very helpful. (September 2009)
Our SunIsle holiday was pretty perfect. (August 2009)
Everyone at SunIsle was extremely helpful and all round you have done a very good job. I will seriously consider booking through you again next year. (August 2009)
Excellent service - both via the web and telephone when our accommodation had to be altered. We also received quick responses to all of our email enquiries. Carry on the good work and personal service. (August 2009)
Our SunIsle holiday was exactly what we were looking for. (July 2009)
I faffed about a bit with booking this holiday but no one hassled me and the only phone calls I received were encouraging rather than off-putting - which is quite a skill. Any messages I left were responded to quickly. I would also like to say how good our rep was. She was friendly and helpful and extremely knowledgeable. She left us to get on with things but we knew she was there if we needed her. (July 2009)
This is the first time that we've travelled with SunIsle and we were really impressed. The service both in the UK and in Corfu was great and we will definitely be recommending you. The Corfu rep is an absolute gem - nothing was too much trouble and she was always smiling. Thanks to all of you for a great holiday and see you next year (if not before!!). (June 2009)
I found the SunIsle website easy to use and the service we received was very good. We really enjoyed our holiday. (May 2009)

Other Comments

Hire a boat for the day, it was great fun. (August 2009)
Don't just stay in Kalami - hire a car and visit everywhere! The Corfiot people are lovely. Their English is excellent but learn a few basic words of Greek as they really appreciate it. (July 2009)
Keep an eye out for the fireflies at night! (May 2009)
