One of our favourites, Bounia apartments have a friendly and helpful owner, Alexandra; marvellous sea and countryside views; and the perfect location, close to two beaches and Kassiopi resort.
A 20 minute walk away, Kassiopi has a good range of shops, tavernas and bars while the sandy Votona Bay is just 150 metres away. A 15 minute walk will take you to the lovely Avlaki beach which has two good tavernas and a windsurfing/sailing school.
The apartments themselves are a small private development; we have chosen two of them. Both apartments have air-conditioning and are extremely spacious, with large lounges and separate dining areas which are furnished with sofabeds (suitable for two children). The galley-style kitchens are well-equipped. You'll find the master bedrooms have comfortable beds, and the modern bathrooms have baths and showers.
One of the apartments has a small terrace that is perfect for al fresco dining; the other has French windows opening onto a small balcony with far-reaching sea views. Whichever one you stay in, you're sure to have an excellent time staying at Bounia apartments.
SunIsle have selected properties that are peacefully situated outside of Kassiopi itself but within an easy 15 minute walk.
Kassiopi has blossomed from it origins as a quiet little fishing village into a small, bustling resort with a strong emphasis on families and couples. There are several sand and shingle beaches within a ten minute stroll of the village and the harbour itself is a centre for day trips and other watersport activities.
Kassiopi boasts a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars with something to cater for every taste. If you fancy listening to some great music whilst enjoying a relaxing drink, we can highly recommend 'Out of the Blue' and our favourite restaurants have got to be 'Little Italy' which, as the name would suggest, specialises in exquisite traditional Italian dishes, and Yanni's for great Greek food eaten 'al fresco' by the sea.
Lively, but certainly not rowdy, Kassiopi strikes a perfect balance for those who don't want to have to travel too far to find plenty of entertainment but definitely aren't interested in the nightclubs and loud music bars of bigger, more 'touristy' resorts.
Corfu is one of the more popular Greek holiday islands and is well served by charter and budget airlines. This beautiful, lush green Greek island comes as an unexpected and unforgettable surprise for first time visitors. Avoiding the busier south, SunIsle offer hand-picked properties among the picture postcard fishing harbours of the north-east and sandy bays on the west coast.
Of particular note is Kalami, a small and "un-touristy" resort with plenty of tavernas, small shops and charm. Slightly further up the coast is the swish bay of Agios Stephanos, where boats pull up to the sea-front tavernas and you can swim from the beaches into the sheltered waters.
