Property details

These lovely villas are situated in the quiet area of Votsi close to the islands picturesque harbour capital Patatiri. They share a large pool and are only a ten minute stroll from the nearest beach. We have selected one of the semi detached villas which is in a slightly elevated position with a large sun terrace overlooking the pool and out to sea.

The villla has a stylish and modern design with the entrance opening into a spacious open plan lounge with a seperate kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is fairly small but is well equipped.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom which is entered from the living room through a curtained archway rather than a door. There is also a bathroom fitted with a shower, w.c. and sink. The loft-style second bedroom is situated on the first floor and is a twin room with french doors leading out onto the furnished terrace.

Although there are a couple of taveranas and shops on the waterfront at Votsi, Patatiri has a wider selection of tavernas, bars and shops and is just 3 kilometres away.

Please note: a cot and high chair are available on request, at a charge of 5 euros, payable locally.

When booking Villa Kamelia you will be given the option to book return transfers between Alonissos and Skiathos Airport. A charge of 30 euros applies for arrivals on Alonissos from 19.00 onwards which is payable locally.

Location

Patatiri, Alonissos

The delightful fishing village of Votsi snuggles in its own sheltered bay with a small beach and handful of excellent waterside tavernas. Like most of Alonnisos this is a quiet, little-developed spot with an unhurried and unspoilt charm.

Within a 15 minute walk of Votsi is the secluded cove and crystal waters of Spartines, whilst just along the coast is the slightly more lively town of Patitiri. Set in an idyllic bay sheltered by cliffs and intriguing rock formations, Patitiri boasts a good choice of harbourside tavernas noted for their superb seafood . The headland in particular is a great place to eat, where the food is accompanied by fabulous views and sunsets.

If you're after a holiday that takes you well away form the hoards of holidaymakers and trappings of tourism found on many other islands, then you'd be hard pressed to find better than Votsi.

How To Get There

The fact that there is no airport on Alonissos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.

To get to Alonissos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes 75 minutes to reach Alonissos.

You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Alonissos.

Alonissos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.

SunIsle Holidays offer a full travel service including flights, car hire and private taxi transfers as well as apartments, hotels and villas on an accommodation-only basis.

Customer Reviews

Feedback on Villa Kamelia ...

The hotel you recommended in Athens was really comfortable and would recommend which it to others. Villa Kamelia was really lovely. Very comfortable, and reasonably well equipped. The house was lovely and cool in the day but got warmer in the night, so it was more comfortable to sleep upstairs with the shutters open to get the breeze. The location was so peaceful and pretty, the pool was just fantastic and the lovely local beach and tiny port an easy ten minute walk through the woods down the hill. Our house was owned by a very big and healthy, well fed (not by us) and friendly cat who was clean, didn't beg and came to meet us every day as we returned from trips out - he absolutely made our stay! We really felt at home. Everything was just as I would have chosen, and we loved Kamelia Villas. We would really love to return another year. (August 2007)

Patatiri, Alonissos ...

It was peaceful, quiet, beautiful, as unspoilt as possible considering it is a tourist destination, and just idyllic as a holiday island. We felt we had discovered a secret. We had great food and drink, a wonderful boat trip, fantastic swimming and snorkelling every day, a good explore of the wilder side of the island and a tourist afternoon in the Old Town admiring the views and shopping. For us it had everything we could wish for. (August 2007)

Customer Service

Fantastic - Suzanne was so helpful, she knew our details from the first time I rang, sorted out an individual itinerary for us and everything went like clockwork. On the island Christine came to visit us twice, firstly the morning after we arrived and then two days before we left to go over the departure arrangements, which was very helpful, though the detailed folder of information meant that we didn't need to ask for much help. Julie was also wonderful. (August 2007)
