There are many things to do on the Greek island of Kefalonia - and taking a day trip to Ithaca has been described by a travel writer as one of the best.
Victor Sebestyen wrote in the Daily Mail that this tiny location was just 45 minutes away from the former by ferry.
"It's well worth making a visit to 'dwell in shining Ithaca'," he said, referencing a quote from Homer's Odyssey - "for peace and stillness, interrupted only by the goat bells".
Once there, Mr Sebestyen recommends going to Kioni in the north - "one of the prettiest little harbours I have seen on any coast".
He also praised the beaches for their colours and accessibility, but said renting a boat to explore the intimately remote inlets and bays was also a good idea.
Those dining in one of the "cheap and very cheerful" tavernas may want to follow the advice of Greek chef Tracy Neal and try a pasticio.
She recommended the dish in an interview with the Nelson Mail, saying that the goat-meat lasagne was often among the most popular in any country and was very typical to the area.
