Fira, Santorini 'one of greatest cities for photography'

Those looking for memorable holiday pictures may be tempted to look no further than the Greek island of Santorini after a travel writer called it one of the best places for photography.
Pat Grunches wrote in the Gadling said that a sojourn there would "bring a serenity to your heart and a love for all things Greek".
He said that even though its mountaintop vistas have been highly exposed, "somehow when it's captured through your own lens it speaks to you of ancient time and tradition, of a different culture that you have only read about in history books".
Mr Grunches went on to say that the views of the volcano and sunsets are "spectacular", as is the contrast between the white stucco house and churches against the deep blues of the rooftops.
Another Greek island location to be a hit with photographers is Mykonos, where the windmills are immortalised in the cameras of almost all those visiting.
