Getting up earlier to take in a sunrise could be a must for those holidaying on the Greek island of Paxos if one traveller's words are anything to go on.
A contributor on the forum Virtual Tourist, writing under the name XenosUK, recommended Loggos as the best place to take in this spectacle.
This is because it does not have the bustle of ferries or yachts setting off in the early hours.
She noted how from this vantage point one could see the villages and trees "glinting in the morning dew".
"You can just wander around and watch the village gradually waking up and turning from monochrome through golden red to full technicolour," she added.
The advisor went on to recommend doing this on the first morning after arrival on the island, "before holiday mode sets in".
Another natural phenomenon visitors are told not to miss when in another Greek island holiday destination is the sunset on Santorini, which allegedly draws crowds of locals and tourists alike to appreciate the landscape.
