A day trip to Lixouri could be a good option for those on holiday in the Greek island destination of Kefalonia.
Even though this is the location's second largest city, the best way to access it is by ferry, which is used by locals as well as tourists.
A 30-minute journey across the water could be an exciting way to travel.
This was the opinion of one reviewer on travel advice site DooYoo.co.uk, who said: "The distance is just enough and the ferry just about big enough for it to feel like an adventure".
Once there, visitors may enjoy the mountainous backdrop and bustling harbour.
The library and Icon Museum might be worth a visit, as could lunch in a seaside taverna or on Plateia Petritsi - the village's main square.
Chances are tourists will be exposed to some local music during their meal as the inhabitants are well known for their love of this art form.
The beaches of Lepeda, Zi and Mega Lakos may also hold interest for visitors.
