Joanne Good has named the Greek island of Corfu as her favourite holiday destination.
The actress said in an Independent interview that her job has allowed her to travel to many amazing places, but this location was the best "on a purely recreational basis".
She went in the 1970s and said reading My Family and Other Animals by Gerard Durrell, an autobiographical story about his childhood on the island had inspired her to choose the destination.
Good said the cuisine and new flavours she was exposed to while visiting made her time there special.
"I just loved Corfu because everything to do with the food and the drink was new - I hadn't experienced tzatziki or retsina before," the actress explained.
The celebrity presents the Saturday breakfast show on BBC London 94.9.
She is also known for her role as Carol Sands in the ITV soap Crossroads, who she played from 1982 to 1984.
