How To Get There
Lesvos has regular flights arriving from the UK from Gatwick and Manchester on Thursdays.
The first flights in 2008 are scheduled on the 17th of April and several flights a day operate on Thursdays until mid October. The flight time is approximately 3 and a half hours and you fly into the island capital of Mytilini.
Another option (and one we would recommend you consider) is to combine your Lesvos holiday with a couple of nights in Athens. You can fly into Athens from the UK on any day and there are flights from Athens to Lesvos every day.
SunIsle Holidays offer a full travel service including flights, car hire and private taxi transfers as well as apartments, hotels and villas on an accommodation-only basis.

The Insider
Lesvos, an authentic Greek island holiday
We were delighted in 2007 to add the island of Lesvos to our in 2006 and have to say it is one of the most impressive Greek islands that we have been to, blessed with the best climate in Greece, award winning beaches and some beautiful countryside that is home to a dazzling array of birds and wildflowers. Lesvos has a rich historical legacy with a multitude of archaeological sites and best demonstrated by the impressive medieval town of Molyvos with its hill top fortress that dominates the town and looks over the short stretch of water to Turkey.
Thankfully Lesvos is relatively untouched by mass tourism and retains its traditional Greek feel. It is rich in culture; being the home of some of the most important Greek museums and galleries, it has famous hot springs and spas renowned for their health restoring qualities. Best of all Lesvos is a large island, so if you want to get in your car, within a short drive you will find yourselves on deserted beaches or up in the traditional hill villages where the people are truly welcoming. All in all Lesvos offers the ‘grecophile’ a high quality holiday experience that is truly authentic.
