How To Get There
The fact that there is no airport on Alonissos can only enhance your holiday as it means that none of the big package holiday companies go there.
To get to Alonissos you fly to Skiathos from either Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Gatwick, Manchester or Newcastle with most flights departing on Fridays. From Skiathos you take the Flying Dolphin which takes 75 minutes to reach Alonissos.
You will be met at Skiathos Airport where a taxi will be waiting to take you to the port for the next available hydrofoil or ferry. Another representative awaits your arrival on Alonissos.
Alonissos can also be reached by ferry from Agios Konstantinos on the mainland.
SunIsle Holidays offer a full travel service including flights, car hire and private taxi transfers as well as apartments, hotels and villas on an accommodation-only basis.

The Insider
A timeless retreat
Alonissos is a sleeping beauty that only briefly awakens during the month of August, when the Greeks themselves like to go on holiday. For the rest of the year the island is a welcome retreat from the hectic schedule of life in the modern world.
With only 2000 inhabitants, there is a real atmosphere of tranquillity here and the pace of life couldn't be more unhurried or relaxed.
Beaches and coves
Around the island the shoreline is dotted with numerous secluded coves where lush green undergrowth and golden beaches fringe the crystal clear sea. Alonissos is also the centre of the Aegean Marine Park and the surrounding waters are a well-loved breeding ground for the endangered Monk seal.
Patitiri
The main harbour of Patitiri is set in a serene bay, sheltered by cliffs and intriguing rock formations. A colourful array of traditional fishing boats keep the island supplied with a plentiful supply of excellent fish; waterside cafes and tavernas languish in the shade of trees; a jumble of picturesque alleyways and whitewashed houses tumble down the surrounding hills to meet the sea.
An altogether relaxing holiday
Alonissos is an exceptionally beautiful island which will more than reward those looking for a relaxed holiday in unspoilt, tranquil surroundings. This island offers its visitors all the pleasures and delights of a simple Greek Island holiday.
